Ester-C vitamin c nutraceutical

CM Complex™ ("Myristin") contains a combination of long-chain fatty acids extracted from beef tallow, as cetyl esters. The most important ingredient is cetyl myristoleate, but also other cetyl esters of fatty acids are present, all natural substances. Long chain fatty acids are considered different from and superior to ordinary omega fatty acids.

CM Complex™ softgels are the only softgels on the market containing 40% cetyl myristoleate. The large amount of CMO per softgel (260 mg) allows consumers to take fewer capsules daily and to consume the recommended amount of product in a shorter time.

As a dietary supplement CM Complex™ is used for a little over two months in most cases in a therapeutic dosage of two (people weighing less than approx. 150 lbs) to three capsules daily (adults average to heavy adults). This dosage meets the generally recommended therapeutic dosage of 500 - 600 mg cetyl myristoleate daily.

CM Complex™ softgels are taken daily with water on an empty stomach, about 30-45 minutes before meals, or just before meals if that fits your daily schedule better.

CM Complex™ offers the following benefits:

•

CM Complex™ is stabilized through a proprietary process that prevents oxidation and toxicity. The stable fatty acids bring quick relief from the discomforts of a variety of auto-immune diseases.

•

CM Complex™ softgels ("Myristin®") are the only 40% CMO softgels on the market. The large amount of CMO per softgel (260 mg) allows consumers to take fewer capsules daily and to consume the recommended amount of product in a shorter time.

WHAT DOES CM COMPLEX™ DO?

The long-chain fatty acids in CM Complex work in similar fashion as omega Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs). Essential fatty acids benefit the arachidonic acid metabolism which in turn results in the formation of beneficial prostaglandins and limits the production of bad prostaglandins.

ADVANTAGES OF CM Complex™

  • CM Complex™ is a powerful nutritious supplement which aids the body’s own healing system and returns cells to a state of balance;
  • CM Complex™ contains molecules with anti-inflammatory properties;
  • CM Complex™enhances the transfer of nutrients through cell membranes;
  • CM Complex aids joint movement (flexibility).

THE SCIENCE BEHIND
CM COMPLEX™

     CM Complex™ is a concentrated long-chain fatty acid complex. An explanation of how long-chain fatty acids work is therefore meaningful.
    It is unknown exactly how CM works, but it is worth exploring the many possibilities that have been proposed based on observations of symptom improvement, scientific reviews of the chemistry of CM and published data on one of the fatty acids in the complex.
    A review of the recent literature on fatty acids shows standard polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are important regulaters of metabolic processes.1-4 Fish oils rich in omega-3 fatty acids have demonstrated   modulation of the immune system and the eicosanoid- and cytokine- metabolism.5-8 It is thought that CM may work through a similar but as yet unknown mechanism,
    A striking difference between the effect of CM and PUFAs is the longer-lasting effects CM appears to have. It is thought this may be due to some type of "reprogramming" of cells. This brings us to another proposed mechanism of action, N-myristoylation.
    Cytokine activity is linked to N-myristoylation, a process in which myristic acid is bound to the glycine residues in specific membrane proteins and is responsible for their activation. There is some evidence that human myristoylation may occur with other 14-carbon fatty acids, and perhaps include myristoleic acid.9-10 And, in fact, a recent study identified myristoleic acid as the effective component in saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) 11 These receptors bind cytokines with high affinity, which in turn initiates intracellular signals that alter the behavior of the effector cell.12
Cellular behaviors that can be affected include various secretions, gene transcription, chemotaxis, and proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells, including T cells. These behaviors directly affect immune function.13
